Hong Kong Jockey Club

The Hong Kong Jockey Club’s new Communications & Technology Centre called: Shatin Communications & Technology Centre (SCTC), designed by Arquitectonica, was planned and designed with sustainability in mind from the very beginning. The SCTC building provides excellent internal environment conditions, natural daylight in office spaces and open views toward the racecourse.

World-class working environment
The new 51,000 sqm development provides a world-class working environment. Great emphasis was placed on achieving a good rating using realistic measures with the least cost uplift that truly reduce the impact of the building in terms of energy, water and waste.

Over 25% energy savings with SilverScreen
An approximate 25.7% annual energy saving is achieved in the SCTC building by reducing the demand through passive means. The metal-backed SilverScreen performance products have contributed significantly to this achievement that resulted in a LEED Gold certification, A BEAM Plus Gold certification and the 2016 ASHRAE Regional XIII Technology Award.

Nicedrape in Hong Kong and China is Verosol’s partner and has produced and installed all blinds for this project.
